Puerto Rico Big Ideas Challenge: Speaker Series Calendar

The entire speaker series will be held at no cost and open to the public. All the events will be held at Fundación Banco Popular’s Comunidad de Colaboración e Innovación Social (CCIS) in Hato Rey.

Kick-off Event. Representatives from Fundación Un Litro de Luz Colombia, Movimiento Peruanos sin Agua and Fundación Piensa Verde de Chile will individually present their social impact projects and then participate in an open conversation revolving around their shared experience as participants of the #DesafíoGoogle2017.

Topic: After the Disaster: Resilience and Opportunities
Invited Speaker: Daniela Rivero Bryant, PhD student in Economics at Tulane University. She has a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Real Estate Development from the Tulane School of Arquitecture. She also served as the executive director at Rebuilding Together New Orleans during the post-Katrina years, working to improve the quality of life of New Orleans’ residents through the rebuilding of homes and community revitalization efforts.

Invited Speaker: Dr. Myrna Rivas, President, Énfasis Puerto Rico and Adjunct Professor of the Graduate School of Public Administration at UPR Río Piedras. Énfasis Puerto Rico is an independent consulting firm specializing in the development of socioeconomic studies, organizational evaluations, program evaluations, strategic planning and trainings.

Invited Speaker: José Manuel Lozano Rivera is an Official of the Donation Programs of the Banco Popular Foundation and of the Popular Foundation in the regions of the United States where Banco Popular is present. He has experience in the development of educational programs, strategic planning, budget management, writing and evaluation of proposals and public relations. He completed his baccalaureate at the School of Communications of the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Administration at the Graduate School of Public Administration of the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.
