You can be part of Fundación Banco Popular’s efforts for a better Puerto Rico through your financial contribution or by giving of your time to do volunteer work.
The foundation has endowment funds for Puerto Rican students who study business administration or the arts in the following universities in the U.S. and Puerto Rico:
- The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania
- Berklee College of Music
- Fairfield University
- Universidad del Sagrado Corazón
- Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico
- Sistema Universitario Ana G. Méndez
- Escuela de Artes Plásticas.
The endowment funds established in these universities have contributed towards 261 talented students of limited economic resources studying business administration, fine arts and music education. Students who receive scholarships from these funds are selected by the financial aid offices of their respective universities.
Apart from these seven endowment funds, the foundation also has the Rafael Carrión, Jr. Scholarship Fund to offer financial assistance with university costs for children of Popular employees and retirees.
